Renée’s program focuses on changing behaviors around food and exercise, by helping her clients change their motivation.  Renée focuses on the underlying causes of excess weight and gently and efficiently guides clients to heal them.  The result is that they lose weight because they learn to want to eat moderately and exercise regularly.

There are always good reasons that people are overweight.  Excess weight doesn’t land on your body accidentally.  The weight, and the behaviors that cause it, are serving a role in your life. Often it’s comfort or protection, or perhaps it’s simply that overeating provides quick relief from boredom, frustration, or other unwanted feelings.  Whatever the reason, if you try to change the behavior without finding new, better ways to get what you were trying to get from food, you will not lose weight or keep it off.

This program is different.  It focuses on the emotional drivers for overeating and excess weight, while providing powerful behavior modification techniques.  You won’t just talk about the causes, Renée will guide you to heal them compassionately and effectively, at the level of the subconscious mind with tools from hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, and Coaching.

Understanding is not enough. Many of Renée’s clients come to her with a good understanding of the  problem.  It might have been a controlling mother or dinner-table stand-offs over finishing the plate during childhood. Perhaps it’s something about starving children in Africa!  Unfortunately, understanding alone is not enough to change behavior. 

This is where Renée’s extensive understanding of human motivation and the structure of mind comes in.
